The Worlds We Made
Little Big Planets
This painting is my favorite of the four. It's chock full of references from Pikmin, to Spirited Away, Kirby, Omori, and the Little Prince- the final image was actually too big for my website to handle.
The piece was inspired by the visual clutter and wackiness of one of my favorite video games Katamari!
Little Big Planet inspired the general aesthetic for my paintings as well. I often listened to the soundtrack while drawing.

Every swirly texture in the colorful streams are hand painted. The fiery red ribbon flowing into the characters head is my favorite. It symbolizes creative energy and ideas flowing through your brain. Almost all of the circles in the foreground are also hand drawn. Can you guess which one I used a digital circle tool for?
A fun detail is that the stylus the younger character draws with is the same one I use in real life.
