Crystalline Chrysalis

Artist's notes

I propped my camera up on my book shelf and took a video which I screenshotted as a reference for the character's pose. I'm actually looking at notes in my planner here.

I used these images as a painting reference. I really like the look of these bright crystals in a dark space.

On a different note, the original idea for the piece included grass that the crystal would be placed on. Also foxes holding keys on their mouths surrounding the crystal with a lock engraved into it.
